SciFinder User Registration
Go to the SciFinder website to create new SciFinder account.
Note : You may receive a warning from your browser about an invalid security certificate. Bypass the warning (select “Continue to this website” or “Create an exception”) to proceed to the SciFinder registration site.

Completing the registration process requires a BU email address (for example, “jstudent@bu.edu”).
Username and Password Requirements
The username and password you create must meet these requirements
Username
Must be unique, contain 5-15 characters, and contain only letters or a combination of letters, numbers, and/or these special characters:
- – (dash)
- _ (underscore)
- . (period)
- @ (at symbol)
Password
Must contain 7-15 characters and include at least three of the following:
- Letters
- Mixed upper- and lowercase letters
- Numbers
- Non-alphanumeric characters (e.g., @, #, %, &, *)
