The Fineman and Pappas Law Libraries supports the research needs of the School of Law faculty and students, along with other legal researchers at BU. Library holdings include federal and state primary legal materials; major serials, treatises, and other secondary materials; legal documents and reports; and international law materials.

The Alumni Medical Library serves the faculty, staff, and students of BU’s Schools of Medicine, Dental Medicine, and Public Health.

The CFA Music Curriculum Library collections are largely made up of performance materials. Parts for all BU music major ensembles are distributed here. Please note that the large ensemble collection is considered non-circulating outside of BU performance ensembles. Most other materials can be checked out of the library with a current BU ID.

The Geddes Language Center is a full-service language learning facility dedicated to providing an extensive humanities resource for the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) and the Boston University community.

The Teaching Africa Library (TAL) is an extensive collection of physical materials useful for teaching about Africa for all grade levels. Located at 232 Bay State Rd on the 4th floor, our collection contains adult and children’s books, both fiction and nonfiction, as well as movies, curriculum guides, clothing, country kits, and artifacts.

The Educational Resources Center (ERC)

The Educational Resource Center (ERC) can help you find writing assistance, connect with peer tutoring services, or attend an academic skill-building workshops. All ERC services are free and available to all BU students.

The Center for Career Development (CCD) works to empower all students and alumni to make intentional decisions about their professional futures, build connections with employers, and adapt to a changing world at BU and beyond.

Specifically, the CCD can help with writing resumes and cover letters, preparing for a job interview, or even networking to expand your professional network.

The Newbury Center supports first-generation undergraduate, graduate, and professional students at BU. Specific initiatives include:

• Support for navigating the financial aid system and developing financial literacy
• Programs and systems to help students know where to turn for academic support
  and how to make the best use of the many available resources that ensure academic
  success, such as writing programs and course selection advice.
• Support for taking full advantage of internships and study abroad opportunities.
• Cohort and mentoring programs to foster a sense of belonging.
• Outreach to families to build understanding and shared commitment to academic
  success and co-curricular engagement.
