About the Lab
The Digitization Lab at Boston University Libraries provides in-house digitization support for open access research of Boston University’s scholarly works and Special Collections holdings through high-quality, standards-based practices. Their work helps make BU scholarly works and the 60,000+ linear feet of archival holdings discoverable and digitally available for research across our campus community, the broader Boston community, and by a network of scholars across the globe.
The Digitization Lab is staffed by skilled professionals and trained student workers who operate specialized equipment designed to convert a variety of archival and library materials into digital formats. Digitization projects are evaluated by BU Libraries repository staff partners in collaboration with Digitization Lab staff.
