Jakarta: Making a Megacity a Smart City
With a population of nearly 10 million, Jakarta stands as one of the largest cities in the world. On September 15th, alongside the Pardee School for Global Studies, the Initiative on Cities was delighted to welcome Michael Sianipar, staff member to Jakarta’s Governor Ahok, to Boston University. Together with Paul McManus, Master Lecturer in Strategy and Innovation at the Boston University Questrom School of Business, Sianipar explained how Jakarta is overcoming past mismanagement and preparing itself for a brighter future.
