Innovate@BU 2019 Summer Accelerator Cohort Announced!

In just a few weeks, the spring semester will come to a close and the long-awaited summer break will begin. For most college students, summer break means internships or part-time work, traveling, spending time at home, or maybe taking a light course load.

But for some Boston University students, the summer is a time to dive into an entrepreneurial venture, whether it’s a physical product or service, a nonprofit or social impact idea, or a business focused on arts and culture. The Innovate@BU Summer Accelerator is a 10-week program that, for a select cohort of student ventures, provides the time, space, resources, and a $10,000 stipend to work on a venture full-time. During the summer program, students are expected to work on their venture at least 40-hours per week and utilize its mentors and resources to make meaningful progress on their idea, whether that’s by conducting customer interviews to validate an idea, launching a beta version, or developing a go-to-market strategy.

This spring, Innovate@BU received 73 applications from student teams hoping for a spot in the  Summer Accelerator. After an intense application and interview round, the following teams have been accepted into 2019 Summer Accelerator beginning on June 3rd.
