IS&T Research Computing Services

The Research Computing Services (RCS) group within Information Services & Technology (IS&T) provides specialized computing and communication facilities, along with software, training, and consulting, in support of all areas of computational research at Boston University. RCS resources are typically used in computational science and engineering, simulation, modeling, data analysis, and other disciplines that require high-performance computing or complex visualization. Resources are managed in close consultation with the Research Computing Governance Committee, the BU Center for Computational Science, and the Rafik B. Hariri Institute for Computing and Computational Science & Engineering. The supercomputing facility (SCF) currently managed by the group is the Shared Computing Cluster (SCC), a large Linux cluster located at the Massachusetts Green High Performance Computing Center (MGHPCC) in Holyoke, MA.
