BU Quantum Science & Engineering Consortium (QSEC)
Developed through the efforts of the Quantum Convergence Focused Research Program of the Hariri Institute, the BU Quantum Science & Engineering Consortium (QSEC) is a university-wide initiative that brings together departments with significant existing research programs in Quantum 2.0 sciences across two colleges, CAS and ENG, namely: Chemistry, Computer Science, ECE, Physics and the Division of Materials Science & Engineering. The focus of the QSEC is to identify areas of excellence and opportunities for targeted joint hires that stimulate broader interactions and collaborations across multiple academic units with the goal of developing crosscutting thematic areas of unique competitive advantage for BU’s Quantum 2.0 community. We expect that, through its work, the BU QSEC will forge sustainable research and training programs that will greatly enhance the University’s visibility and competitiveness in one of the most vibrant and impactful areas of modern science and technology.
