David Castanon
Professor, Electrical & Computing Engineering, College of Engineering
David Castanon is a professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Boston University. David served as department chair from 2011-2015. He is part of the department’s Information Systems and Sciences (ISS) Laboratory, Boston University’s Center for Computational Science, and Center for Information and Systems Engineering (CISE). Castanon is deputy director of the National Science Foundation Engineering Research Center, the Bernard M. Gordon Center for Subsurface Sensing and Imaging Systems (CenSSIS), and associate director of the Department of Homeland Security ALERT Center of Excellence. He is actively involved in the IEEE Control System Society, serving in various capacities to support the Society’s mission.
