The Guild Symposium

On October 17, 2025, the The Medieval and Renaissance Guild hosted their first ever Symposium, featuring graduate presentations from Boston University, Boston College, UMass Boston, Harvard, and Tufts. From the HAA department, Isaline Lefrançois, Katie Pechalonis, Julia Phillipps, and Jenna Wendler all presented their research.
Simona Di Nepi, Charles and Lynn Schusterman Curator of Judaica at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and Dr. Michael Zell presented the keynote on their upcoming exhibition “Reality and Imagination: Rembrandt and the Jews in the Dutch Republic,” opening at the MFA in December.
The Guild express their gratitude to the moderators, Isabella Dobson, Sarah Grimes, and Amy Viens, for their help, along with the continued support of the Department of History of Art and Architecture and the Global Medieval Studies Program.
