Range of Affect: outwardly observable emotional reactions (either over-reaction or lack of emotional response)

Mood: patient’s subjective feelings; underlying emotional tone expressed

Speech: volume of voice, speed or slowing of speech, length of answers to questions, etc.

Thought process and thought content: any noticeable difficulty with concentration or attention; distortions of perceptionterruption or blocking of answers; confusion, etc.
