- Judith Linden MD, from the Emergency Department, is a published expert on improving emergency care-givers responses to women following sexual violence.
- Maureen Mahoney LICSW heads the BU Sexual Assault team at Student Health Services on the undergraduate campus
- Deborah Maine DPH, Professor at Boston University School of Public Health and internationally renowned researcher in women’s health has been an advisor, expert consultant and friend supporting our work in every way possible
- Brian Penti, a long- time family medicine physician from the DFM and one of the 2013 Stevens Award winners for a project in Lesotho is currently incorporating attention to DV in his research fellowship with attention to both pre-conception care and male abusers .
- Joanne Timmons MPH, the coordinator of the campus-wide Domestic Abuse Advisory Committee, and resources including a webpage that includes an amazing range of community resources, and interviewing tips and concrete assistance as well as wonderful staff who can respond almost immediately to staff and patients needing consultation or safety planning. She is now on our IRB and is also a major contributor to discussions in the city and beyond regarding hospital protocols and IPV .

- Karla Damus PhD MSPH MN RN FAAN, is a member of the research faculty in the Department of Family Medicine. She is a perinatal epidemiologist and nurse known for her national work to improve perinatal outcomes and promote equity, particularly in preventing preterm birth and promoting preconception health.
- Karen Brouhard LICSW, is a clinical social worker in the Boston University Faculty & Staff Assistance Office and former co-director of the Center for Violence Prevention and Recovery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
