Event Highlights: A Reading & Conversation with Norwegian Writer Hanne Ørstavik
We were delighted to host Norwegian writer Hanne Ørstavik last week (Wednesday, November 2, 2022) for a reading & conversation event celebrating the release of her newest novel, Ti Amo, in English translation from Archipelago Books. Based in Ørstavik’s own experience of losing her Italian husband to cancer, the book tells of a husband and wife living in Italy and confronting the man’s imminent death in a meditation on relationships, loss, and identity in every facet of existence. The event was moderated by Carolynn Mireault (MFA, Boston University).
