Tormod Heier is Professor in Military Strategy and Operations, and Associate Professor at the Swedish Defence University in Stockholm. At Boston University, Heier is leading a research project on security and defense cooperation between the United States and Europe. Heier served 32 years as Officer in Norway’s Armed Forces, 32 of them as Lieutenant Colonel in the Army. He was Professor II at University of Inland Norway from 2020 to 2025.
