Energy justice, industrial decarbonization, policy analysis
Weimin’s research focuses on understanding how industrial decarbonization unfolds in practice and how it can be made more effective, equitable, and just. Her work integrates quantitative policy evaluation, comparative case studies, and field-based research. She investigates how countries pursue decarbonization across different political and economic contexts, analyzing both the drivers and effectiveness of policies as well as the broader social and institutional dynamics that shape their implementation. She also examines decarbonization efforts through surveys and fieldwork in the US, China, Europe, and Saudi Arabia. By connecting policy analysis with on-the-ground experiences, her research aims to inform more just and equitable pathways to net-zero transitions.
