I apply the latest tools of analytical geochemistry, optical spectroscopy, isotope geology and mass spectrometry to investigate issues related to Solid Earth, Environment and Climate through our planet’s geological past and present. My research interests range from investigating the geochemistry of carbon cycling in aquatic ecosystems to understanding the mineralogy-petrology and geochemistry of tectonic processes (like volcanoes, orogeny and mineral ore formation) and mass extinction events through Earth history.
Outside the lab, I love music, travelling, hiking and exploring new places, cultures and cuisines.
