Climate change mitigation, energy policy, remote sensing

Advisor:

Evan’s research focuses on climate change mitigation and energy policy, with a particular emphasis on greenhouse gas emissions in the global energy sector. Before joining BU, he earned both his MS and BS from Zhejiang University’s Institute of Agricultural Remote Sensing. His passion for interdisciplinary research was fostered during his minor in the Global Engagement Program, as well as through professional experiences with various NGOs and UN agencies, including the Environmental Defense Fund, where he helped design integrated SDG strategies for carbon dioxide mitigation. At BU, Evan uses satellite-based remote sensing technologies to track methane emission trends from major industries such as coal, oil, and natural gas. His research also explores the integration of this data with energy policies to foster a sustainable and equitable future.
