Yvanna Serra earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the Technological University of Panama, where she worked on wetland water balance and remote sensing applications. She joined the University of Florida in August 2022 and earned an M.S. in Environmental Engineering Sciences in August 2024. Her research combines numerical modeling of coastal sediment transport with high resolution remote sensing to quantify salt marsh vegetation dynamics and coastal change.
