GSDM’s Dr. Michelle Henshaw and Andrew Jorgensen First to be Featured on University Provost’s Site
Boston University Provost Jean Morrison recently launched a new feature on her website called Faculty & Student Spotlight and bestowed on the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine (GSDM) the great honor of having the first faculty member and student to be featured: Dr. Michelle Henshaw and Andrew Jorgensen DMD 13.
Jorgensen’s story, From Rockets to Retainers, addresses his decision to leave family and a promising career as an engineer in Colorado for dental school at BU.
Dr. Henshaw, who is assistant dean for community partnerships & extramural affairs, director of the Division of Community Health Programs, and professor at GSDM, was featured in The Gift of a Smile. Her story focuses on how she shares her passion with GSDM students for bringing oral healthcare to underserved communities and inspires those students to do the same.
“On behalf of all the students, staff, and faculty at GSDM, I want to share with Dr. Henshaw and Mr. Jorgensen how proud we are to see them featured for their wonderful work,” says Dean Jeffrey W. Hutter.
The Faculty & Student Spotlight highlights BU’s vibrant academic community and the special stories of faculty and staff throughout the University. Keep your eyes on the Provost’s website, where new stories will be added in the coming weeks.
