Book Launch
On Friday the 27th of September CURA hosted the book launch for Department of Sociology Professor David L. Swartz’s new text, Symbolic Power, Politics, and Intellectuals: The Political Sociology of Pierre Bourdieu (University of Chicago Press, 2013). Other speakers included Bar Bonikowski, Assistant Professor of Sociology at Harvard University, and Neil Gross, Professor of Sociology at the University of British Columbia and Editor of Sociological Theory.
