BU MET Honors Class of 2020 with Virtual Celebration & Toast
On Saturday, May 23, Boston University Metropolitan College hosted a Virtual Celebration & Toast to conclude the spring semester and congratulate the graduating class of 2020. It was a very special event as family, friends, graduates, students, faculty, and staff gathered together virtually from across the globe to honor the time, energy, and effort our students committed to their studies during this difficult and uncertain time. We celebrated their success and recognized their collective effort to push forward despite the hardships and disruptions resulting from COVID-19. It is no small feat to adjust to a stark new reality, while continuing the important work of learning.
Special guests included Ralph H. Groce, III, Chair of Metropolitan College Dean’s Advisory Board and Cynthia R. Cohen, Chair of the Board of Overseers, Trustee of Boston University and our 2020 commencement speaker. These two distinguished individuals, along with Dean Zlateva, encouraged hope and optimism as guiding principles for students as they take the next steps forward in their educational and professional pursuits.
A special thanks to faculty and staff for their appreciation and congratulatory video messages to our BU MET students, as well as to the students themselves for sharing their photos, making this a truly celebratory event.
