Big Data Scientist Training Enhancement Program
The Big Data Scientist Training Enhancement Program (BD-STEP) is an educational opportunity with the Boston Veterans Affairs (VA) Healthcare System. The program aims to support biomedical data science workforce development by providing data scientists with well-rounded training in the clinical environment. Competitively selected students are partnered with VA clinicians, academic mentors, and interdisciplinary researchers to work on clinically relevant projects that impact patient care.
General Requirements:
- Development skills in database management and design, data analytics, statistical modeling and skills in a variety of programming languages, tools, and environments
- SQL experience a plus
Additional Information:
- Commitment including VA onboarding process will be approximately one year
- Without Compensation (WOC) position
- Can be either Domestic or Foreign student
- Opportunity to use the position for credit (depending on degree program)
