Women in STEM Mentorship Program Connects Grads and Undergrads
BU’s official student chapter of ACM-W, the Association for Computing Machinery’s Women in Computing initiative, is dedicated to supporting women in the fields of computing and technology. Now, the student chapter is taking new steps towards this mission by arranging a mentorship program at BU between female-identifying graduate and undergraduate students.
A directed effort to level the playing field for women in STEM and bridge the gender gap in work and academic environments, the program will connect undergraduate students with graduate mentors who share their interests and can provide feedback and trusted guidance in areas like course selection, career advice, scholarship opportunities, interview preparation, and volunteer opportunities.
A chance for women to help each other build up a network of peers in computing and technology, the mentorship program unites students with shared interests, passions, and goals.
