MS Program Administrator
Sebastian Bach is the Master’s Program Administrator at the Department of Computer Science. Sebastian has served Boston University in various capacities at the College of Arts and Sciences, the School of Law, the School of Education (now Wheelock College of Education & Human Development), and the School of Public Health for many years. He earned his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees from BU in English Language and Literature and Philosophy. More recently, Sebastian has turned his attention to computer science, which has led him to consider himself a Rustacean with strong interests in cloud computing, data science, machine learning, systems programming, and web development. His commitment to student success across the various positions he has held at BU has consistently motivated him to prioritize listening to students, striving to meet their academic and professional needs, and maintaining an open-door policy. When not exhibiting excessive excitement about a well-designed ETL workflow, Sebastian enjoys actively supporting the professional development opportunities offered by Google Developer Group (GDG) Lawrence, composing and recording music, reading books on anything from modern poetry to quantum mechanics, and embarrassing his spouse and two children whenever he goes out in public with them.
