Myles Standish Hall – Fire Alarm Testing – 8/18/16 &8/19/16
BU will be testing the fire alarm system today (Thursday, 8/18/16) and tomorrow (Friday, 8/19,16) between 3:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. During the testing the fire alarm system alarms, beacons, horns, and strobes will be going off.
Myles Standish Hall – Saturday Work – 8/20/16
On Saturday, the following construction work will be occurring on site from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. Annex alley – Start erecting staging for façade restoration. Activities will require workers, trucks and equipment in point park area and alley. Crane will be used to install staging.
BU Theatre Center – Construction Activity – 8/13/16 – 9/2/16
August 17th through August 22nd: Work for a new domestic water tie in for 808 Commonwealth Avenue will begin August 17th. During this work, the building will be closed and unable to be occupied starting at 6 a.m. Wednesday, August 17th. The building will re-open for use and occupancy at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, August 23rd.
South Campus Power Outage Postponed From 8/12/16 to 8/16/16
The power outage scheduled for August 12 in South Campus has been postponed until August 16 from 12:01 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. This shutdown is required for electrical infrastructure maintenance being performed by Eversource.
CILSE – Construction Activity – Week of 8/14/16
Installation of fibreC panels will continue on the Cummington Mall side of the building on mast climber 3 and on the Blandford Mall side on mast climber 4. Excavation along the Cummington Mall side of the site on the south side pile caps will take place to remove plate steel and complete underground utilities.

Subcontractors will receive deliveries all week between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. on both Beacon Street and Bay State Road. Saturday Work – 8/13/16 – Permission and permitting have been secured from the City to work from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

685 Comm Ave – Overnight Power Shutdown – 8/12-8/13
Due to construction work in the building, there will be a scheduled power shutdown at 685 Commonwealth Avenue (CAS) from 10:30 p.m. on Friday, 8/12/16 until 6 a.m. on Saturday, 8/13/16.
