CILSE – Construction Activity – Week of 9/4/16
Mast climber 4 will be taken down and reassembled further south on the Morse Auditorium side of the site as mast climber 5. Installation of termination plates on the white frames (TGP) on the Commonwealth Avenue side of the 1st floor will occur next week.
Myles Standish Hall – Beacon Street Work – 9/6/16 – 9/27/16
Site work – Bring water and drain lines in off of Beacon Street and into Myles. Activities will require workers, trucks ,and equipment on Beacon Street. Traffic lanes will be shifted to accommodate two lanes of vehicular traffic and a bicycle lane.
BU Theatre Center – Construction Activity – 8/27/16 – 9/17/16
Pile driving operation for foundations will continue. After significant study and real time analysis on installation of piles against existing soil conditions, pile installation will go into mid-September. Current projection suggests pile driving will continue for the next three weeks with a target completion date of September 17th.
CILSE – Construction Activity – Week of 8/28/16
Completion of fibreC panel installation will occur next week on the Cummington Mall side of the building on mast climber 3, and on the Morse Auditorium side on mast climber 4. Both mast climber 3 and the hoist will be taken down next week. Installation of the glass on the white frames (TGP) on the Commonwealth Avenue side of the 1st floor will continue.
Myles Standish Hall – Construction Activity – 8/27/16 – 9/2/16
Subcontractors will receive deliveries all week between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. on both Beacon Street and Bay State Road. Saturday Work – 8/27/16 – Permission and permitting have been secured from the City to work from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Interior demo. Saturday 9/3/16 through Monday 9/5/16 – There will be no work during the holiday weekend and Labor Day.
Myles Standish Hall – Saturday Work – 8/27/16
On Saturday, the following construction work will be occurring on the site from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. Interior demolition; activities will require workers, trucks, and equipment in point park area and Beacon Street.
CILSE – Sidewalk Closure 8/23/16
The sidewalk in front of CILSE on Commonwealth Avenue will be closed from 9:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Tuesday, August 23 so that asphalt patching can be completed. Pedestrians heading east on Commonwealth Avenue will be directed to either cross to the north side of the street at Warren Towers or to detour via Hinsdale, Cummington, and Blandford Malls.
West Campus Steam Plant Shutdown and Temporary Agganis Surface Lot Closure
Construction work will be taking place at the West Campus Steam Plant from Sunday, 8/21/16 until Sunday, 8/28/16. During this time, a large crane will be occupying the surface lot at Agganis Arena in order to hoist a large piece of equipment onto the roof, making the lot inaccessible to permit holders.
CILSE – Construction Activity – Week of 8/21/16
Installation of fibreC panels will continue on the Cummington Mall side of the building on mast climber 3 and on the Blandford Mall side on mast climber 4. Installation of glass panels on the Commonwealth Avenue side of the building in the notch will take place in addition to glazing at the Commonwealth Avenue entrance.
Myles Standish Hall – Construction Activity – 8/20/16 to 8/26/16
Subcontractors will receive deliveries all week between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. on both Beacon Street and Bay State Road. Load out at Beacon Street – Load out demolition debris from 1st floor to dumpster with ongoing daily dumpster swaps. Continue with load out down chute (interior).
