BU Theatre Center – Construction Activity – 1/19/17 – 2/3/16
For January 19, 2017 through February 3, 2016:
- Permitted by the Town of Brookline and in accordance with the approved Construction Management Plan, authorized work hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays, and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Brookline and Boston Police details will continue to be posted at the two construction site entrance gates, one at Essex Street and one at Dummer Street, and the fence along Commonwealth Avenue to ensure public safety. The safety of our community is our highest priority, so we ask that you please pay close attention to posted signs, police, and safety personnel.
Key Construction Activities
- Erection of steel at the West Theatre Building to continue – Steel columns, beams, and decking, as well as shear stud placement.
- Installation of temporary scaffolding will be beginning on Monday, 01/23/17 – Scaffold erection and tenting to be installed on the South Production Building.
- Installation of light gauge metal wall framing – Wall construction on the Production Building will occur in the next two weeks.
- Upcoming Saturday Work: January 21 – February 1 – Includes work as required to keep the project on construction schedule.
- Now through February 1, 2017 – Steel erection should be more than 50% complete on the West Theatre Building.
