Myles Standish Hall – Construction Activity – 9/10/16 – 9/16/16
For 9/10/16 to 9/16/16:
Deliveries
- Subcontractors will receive deliveries all week between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. on both Beacon Street and Bay State Road.
Onsite Construction
Saturday 9/10/16 – No work
Beacon Street Work – 9/12/16 through 9/27/16 – Starting on Tuesday, September 6, the following construction work will be occurring on Beacon Street from 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
- Site work – Bring water and drain lines in off of Beacon Street and into Myles.
- Activities will require workers, trucks, and equipment on Beacon Street.
- All permitting has been secured with BTD.
Demolition Abatement
- Load out at Beacon Street – Load out demolition debris from 1st floor to dumpster with ongoing daily dumpster swaps.
- Continue with load out down chute (interior).
- Demolition and load out of basement
- Abatement on floor 1 (interior)
- Demolition of floor 1 (interior)
- Saw-cutting floors 4 & 5
Masonry Restoration (Exterior – Bay State Road & Beacon Street)
- Continue with rebuilding façade above Annex off of swing staging.
- Continue installation of relieving angles – Bay State Road and Beacon Street sides of building.
- Continue rebuilding exterior façade – Bay State Road side of building.
Roof (Exterior)
- Coring, saw-cutting, and demo of new holes and openings
- Roof blocking and plywood installation at parapets
- Temporary roofing of penetrations and parapet
Alley Between Annex and Myles at Bay State Road (Exterior)
- Continue with masonry demo (Myles).
- Start installation of brick (Annex).
Site Utility Work
- Continue load out of soil from basement.
