Myles Standish Hall – Construction Activity – 7/2/16-7/8/16

For 07-02-16 to 07-08-16:

Deliveries

  • Subcontractors will receive deliveries all week from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both Beacon Street and Bay State Road.

 Onsite Construction

Saturday 7/2/16 — No work

Monday 7/4/16 — No work (holiday)

 

Man and Material Hoist Construction

  • Constructing loading dock and infill around gates.

Demolition Abatement

  • Load out at Beacon Street – Load out demolition debris from 1st  floor to dumpster.
  • Continue with load out down chute – Interior
  • Demolition and load out of basement.
  • Abatement on floors 7 and 8 – Interior
  • Demolition after abatement at buffer zone on floors 4 and 5.
  • Demolition of floor 9.
  • Continue with demolition of existing freight elevator – Interior

Masonry Restoration (Exterior)

  • Continue with masonry demo on the Bay State Road side of the building.
  • Start installation of concrete masonry units (CMU).
  • Start masonry demo on the Beacon Street side of the building.
  • Start masonry demo on swing above the Annex.

Roof (Exterior)

  • Installation of CMU at parapet.

Site Work

  • Form and pour new foundation walls for transformer pad.
  • Backfill Annex alley after concrete pour.
