CILSE – Construction Activity – Week of 6/20/16
For the week of June 20, 2016:
Glass water testing will be taking place on the Commonwealth Avenue, Cummington Mall, and College of Communication sides of the building. Installation of window frames, glass, and insulation will continue along the Cummington Mall and Morse Auditorium sides. Installation of air vapor barrier will tentatively start on the Cummington Mall side. Roofing will be ongoing.
Wall framing will continue on floors 7, 8, and 9. In-wall electrical and plumbing and above ceiling electrical, mechanical, and plumbing will continue on floors 2 through 9. Installation of drywall will continue on floors 2 through 5 and painting will continue on floors 2, 3, and 4. Wall layout and MEPs will be ongoing on the first floor. Service elevator (east) installation will be ongoing. Delivery of the west elevator is expected on Wednesday. 3-5 Cummington Mall loading dock connector steel will begin.
Police details will continue to man the construction gates along Commonwealth Avenue to ensure public safety. The safety of our community is our highest priority, so we ask that you please pay close attention to posted signs, police, and safety personnel.
