Classical Studies PhD Student
Jackie is a PhD candidate who joined Boston University in 2021. She is a California native, graduating with her BA (Cum Laude) from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a double major in Classical Studies and European History in Spring 2021. She has taught 7th/ 8th grade Latin for St. Abraham’s Classical Christian Academy (2020-21) as well as Latin courses and CL 101 (Greek Civilization) at Boston University. She has a variety of research interests, ranging from Greek tragedy of the 5th c., Greek and Roman Historiography, Epinician Poetry and Neronian Literature. When not working, she can be found reading literature of the early 20th century, baking sourdough, and travelling to Greece as often as she can.
