Lauren Brown is a first-year Ph.D. student in Classical Studies at Boston University. She graduated summa cum laude with a BA in Classics and English in 2019 from the University of New Mexico. She graduated with an MA in Comparative Literature and Cultural Studies with a Classics concentration in 2022 from the University of New Mexico with a thesis entitled “Poetics as Rhetoric in the Works of Horace.” Lauren’s primary research interest is ancient rhetoric, especially in works that are not oratory, and Latin poetry.
