CIMS Welcome New Faculty for the 2022-2023 Academic Year

The Cinema & Media Studies Program is proud to welcome Visiting Assistant Professor Roshaya Rodness and Part-Time Lecturer, Dr. Aida Vidan, to the faculty for the 2022-2023 academic year. 

Prof. Rodness’s research and teaching focuses on queer cinema, the film and media of the HIV/AIDS epidemic, and experimental film form. She holds a Ph.D. from McMaster University.  This fall she is teaching CI 101 and CI 200l, and in the Spring will teach CI 102 and CI 512. 

Dr. Aida Vida  is a specialist in Slavic literatures and film and a documentary filmmaker. She holds a Ph.D. in Slavic Languages and Literatures from Harvard University where she previously taught in the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures. This Fall she will teach a course on Contemporary Women’s film. And in the Spring she will teach CI 330: East European Political Film and CI 390: Migrant Narratives in Film.
