Department of Chemistry Fund
For operating support of the Department of Chemistry at CAS.
Chemistry Fund for Student Organizations
To support Chemistry projects and lectures organized by various chemistry student organizations.
Chemistry Research Fund
To support the research done in the Department of Chemistry.
Patricia McLellan Leavitt Research Fund
Income to support research of one or more non-tenured junior faculty members, or graduate students, in chemistry or biology at CAS. Preference shall be given to female faculty who demonstrate a commitment to encouraging women to study science, or to female graduate students. Expenditures may include, but shall not be limited to salary, fellowship and equipment support.
Julius Feldman Fund
Restricted to support of graduate students in the Department of Chemistry (primarily in the form of student stipends).
Anne D. Gounaris Memorial Scholarship
Income to provide annual scholarship awards to one or more deserving students enrolled at CAS and majoring in Chemistry with a preference given to female chemistry students.
Benjamin F. Lambert Endowed Lectureship
Income to provide support for an annual lecture in CAS Department of Chemistry including, but not limited to, speaker honoraria and a dinner in their honor with faculty and special guests.
Mason-Kochakian Lecture in Bioinorganic Chemistry
Income to provide annually a suitable honorarium and travel costs for a visiting speaker or to allow spending in the Department of Chemistry for visiting lectureships, graduate student travel, or graduate student fellowships in Bio-organic Chemistry.
John Phillip Mason Memorial Education Fund
Funds provides for programs in organic chemistry and for summer support of outstanding undergraduates engaged in chemistry research at CAS.
Lyman C. Newell Award Fund
Income only for the general maintenance and operation of the Lyman C Newell Library of Chemistry and the rooms it occupies.
Sugata Ray Memorial Scholarship Fund
Income is to be used to assist graduate students studying in the Department of Chemistry whose homes and citizenship reside outside the United States.
Samour Family Professorship Fund In Chemistry
Income to provide salary and research support to a full-time faculty member in the Chemistry Department.
Laursen Chemistry Research Fund
Income to provide support for research opportunities for undergraduates and graduate students in the Chemistry Department at the College of Arts and Sciences.
Dr. Sandeep Singh Puar Fellowship in Chemistry
Income to provide support for one or more Masters or Ph. D. candidates in the Department of Chemistry. Expenses include but are not limited to teaching or research stipends and/or travel expenses, research expenses, summer expenses, etc.
Vertex Scholar Fellowship
To support one full-time graduate research student in the Chemistry Department and Center for Molecular Discovery. Student must be in his/her 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of a PhD program and completed the required coursework and chosen a thesis research laboratory and supervisor.
Novartis Graduate Fellowship Fund
To support a high quality and high potential graduate student in organic synthesis, including applications of synthesis to biological problems, or computational Chemistry as applied to organic or biological systems. The eligible student must be in year 2, 3, or 4 of a Ph. D program and a woman or a minority, where minority is defined as an individual of African, Hispanic or Native American descent. The student must not be the recipient of another graduate fellowship.
Molecular Mechansims Research
To support enzymological, biochemical and biophysical studies aimed at characterizing the mechanism of action of irreversible covalent inhibitors.
Bioinorganic Chemistry Research Funds
To support the bioinorganic research done in the Department of Chemistry at CAS.
Center for Streamlined Synthesis
For unrestricted support of The Center for Streamlined Synthesis in the Chemistry Department of BU.
Amgen Research Fund
To help support the interdisciplinary research in organic chemistry and biology done in the department of Chemistry in CAS.
Novartis Lectureship Fund
To support an annual lectureship in the Department of Chemistry.
