Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Maya Bea is a mixed Filipino-American actor, singer, and comedian, who has a particular knack for approaching each role, regardless of genre, with an intentional lens of honest humanity especially in absurd, heightened comedic characters. Maya is most inspired and drawn towards theatre that uses comedy as a weapon in combating tragedy. They are a graduate of Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School for Drama, as well as having studied at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade and the Second City, to further their passion for improv and sketch comedy.
