An original native of Washington, D.C. and Maryland, Maia Sanaa “My-ee-ah Sa-nah”, is an Actor, Writer, Spoken Word Poet, Singer/Songwriter & multifaceted artist- raised within the uniquely artistic scene of Atlanta, GA. Maia has been performing since the age of 7, making her first debut waddling as a penguin alongside her siblings in a local production of the musical, Happy Feet, and loving the craft of telling stories on both stage and screen ever since. Meaning “Beautiful Art” in the Swahili language and with a warm aura bound to bring a smile to your face, Maia hopes to one day be a name that the world brings into conversation with artistry that lives within the realm of bridging the gap between the existence of those who came before herself- and of voices too often unheard.
