One of the key tools of building resilience is a sense of gratitude and appreciation, and if there was ever a time we need resilience, now is it!

Although we were not at Tanglewood this summer, we’re so grateful for all that we were able to do as a community, especially through our Intermissions series, made possible by the generosity of our alumni and special guests who joined us all summer for weekly conversations to share perspectives, memories, laughs, and valuable life lessons. Missed these inspiring events? No problem! They are still available on our YouTube channel.

Thanks to generous efforts from our faculty and partners in the field, and to the breadth of educational resources all across the country, we launched The Vault, a student resource center that we will continue to build moving forward. Prospective students and parents, be sure to check it out! It could be helpful as you are preparing for the academic year, college applications, and planning for next summer.

And it wouldn’t be the end of summer without an expression of our deep appreciation for our donors who sustain us, our colleagues at the Boston Symphony Orchestra who enrich our programming, and the music teachers and training organizations across the country who are our invaluable collaborators in cultivating the next generation of artists and community members.

Although none of us know what the future holds, we do know that we will do everything possible to be back next summer at Tanglewood – experiencing the magic together as a community. Be on the lookout as plans unfold. For now, save the date for our application launch – November 2. We look forward to seeing you there!
