Boston Globe feature: All the wild, creative, and just plain funny works Massachusetts art students are making from home
While at home, Assistant Professor Toni Pepe’s class is documenting their current settings through a camera obscura assignment and a time capsule assignment, both aimed at the art of storytelling and understanding the culture of a community.
Toni Pepe, Assistant Professor of Art in Photography, was featured in a Boston Globe article about the innovative and creative ways art students across Boston adapt to remote learning.
“The purpose is to get students to learn how to create an archive, and how storytelling is part of that,” Pepe said. “The making of an archive tells us about the making of knowledge and the culture of a community.”
