Tom Tranfaglia

Tom Tranfaglia is a video producer/editor at Boston University College of Fine Arts. Cameras and drones have been a central part of Tom’s life for the past decade. He is a licensed drone pilot with a BFA in photography and an emphasis in videography. Tom’s focus has not been limited to any one field but rather a diverse body of work. Tom has had accomplishments in fine arts photography, documentaries, short videos, social media, and action sports.

Accolades/Achievements

Tom worked on and did drone work for a Robert F Kennedy Human Rights Award-winning film for MTV called Film’s 16 and Recovering. Tom also worked on two Emmy-nominated films. The first was for a film for a non-profit called Mission Safe, whose mission was to give resources to underserved children in Dorchester in an effort to keep kids off the streets, away from drugs and crime. The second film was for another non-profit called Silver Lining Mentoring whose mission was to give foster kids resources and a mentor that would help guide the kids in everyday life helping them with anything from finding jobs to setting up bank accounts to just having a role model to hang out with. Lastly, one of Tom’s drone photographs was published in the Bloomsbury Handbook to Edith Wharton in 2022.
