Kira Ousey

Kira Ousey serves as an Administrative Coordinator for the School of Music. Originally from Pennsylvania, she was drawn to the Boston music world following an externship with the Boston Lyric Opera. Prior to joining Boston University, Kira has worked with the Rivers School Conservatory and Brevard Music Center.

Kira holds degrees in both Music Performance and English, with a minor in creative writing. She began playing the euphonium when she was ten years old at the suggestion of her grandfather, himself a tuba/euphonium player. Kira can be found performing in the local Brookline Community Band. She is also an avid writer, having published a collection of poetry and several other short works.

Outside the office, Kira loves visiting museums, crafting, and playing games with friends.
