Dr. Pollack completed EIS training and a preventive medicine residency at CDC. Since leaving CDC, she has served as a consultant medical epidemiologist with international assistance agencies such as the WHO, PAHO, USAID, UNICEF, the World Bank, and the Asian Development Bank, working in more than 50 countries around the world.
In her role as Deputy Editor for ProMED, she was credited with alerting the global health community to the emergence of MERS-CoV, SARS-CoV-2, and other diseases.
