Maria Jacobs, MD

Dr. Jacobs earned her medical degree in Colombia and has since focused on facilitating the international sharing of clinical and public health resources in support of epidemic preparedness efforts. Most recently she held the position of Senior Technical Editor at ProMED from 2007 until 2023, leading a team of copy editors responsible for copyediting, translation, and data curation related to reports on emerging infectious diseases.
