Lucas Monje, PhD
Subject Matter Expert, BEACON
Lucas Monje is an infectious disease biologist and Independent Researcher at CONICET in Argentina. His research focuses on the eco-epidemiology of vector-borne and zoonotic pathogens, with particular attention to ticks, rodents, and wildlife as reservoirs of infection. By examining how pathogens circulate across different hosts and environments, he aims to generate knowledge that strengthens surveillance and informs public and veterinary health strategies. Lucas also teaches at the Universidad Nacional del Litoral and is committed to mentoring young scientists in the field of infectious diseases.
