Christina Yen, MD

Assistant Professor, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW)

Dr. Yen’s current work seeks to bring the lens of bioethics to healthcare epidemiology, infection prevention, and antimicrobial stewardship. To do so, she has engaged in a wide spectrum of research across these disciplines, from assessing the safety of N95 respirators that have undergone repeated decontamination through a novel vaporized hydrogen peroxide reprocessing protocol to exploring the ethical nuances latent to guideline recommendations with collaborators from various academic institutions. She hopes that her work will highlight the special ethical considerations faced by these fields and the need for greater investigation and solutions.
