This event features Dr. Demetre Daskalakis, White House MPOX Response Deputy Coordinator; Dr. Nikki Romanik, White House Office of Pandemic Preparedness and Response Policy Chief of Staff; Adrianna Boulin, Director of Community Impact and Engagement at Fenway Health; and Dr. Céline Gounder, Editor-at-Large for Public Health at Kaiser Family Foundation Health News and CBS News Medical Contributor. Dr. Ashish Jha, Dean of the Brown School of Public Health, and prior White House COVID-19 Coordinator, will provide opening remarks. Panel moderated by CEID Director, Dr. Nahid Bhadelia. The MPOX pandemic has been a major public health crisis that had a devastating impact globally and in the United States. The purpose of this event is to identify how we can apply best practices from the MPOX response to future infectious diseases threats.
