CEID Faculty Dr. David Hamer weighs in on recent COVID wastewater data:
“…’It looks like a legitimate decline in the northern wastewater SARS-CoV-2 concentrations in the last week…This fits with the recent decline in numbers posted by the state for new cases.This is a good sign as we head into the summer months,’ he added. ‘It would be nice to see the southern numbers decrease too. Hopefully this is the end of the most recent small wave and we can have a relatively safe and mask-free summer.’…”
