10 Memes That Describe Being a Second Semester Senior
Hello, procrastination, my dear old friend
Somehow, it is already halfway through the spring semester… Who let that happen? With the excitement of graduation right around the corner, you’d think seniors would have a newfound sense of motivation to power through their last few months of school. If only it were that easy! To describe the essence of being a senior, we’ve put together a list of memes that poke a bit of fun at our professional procrastination skills and fear of checking LinkedIn:
1. When you have been saying “I’ll do it tomorrow” all semester long and too many tomorrows went by

We have a couple of more weeks left of college. Maybe it is finally time to actually lock-in.
2. At this point, maybe manifesting is… more realistic?

Countless hours are spent building your résumé and sending out job applications, only for them to send you a painful, “I regret to inform you that…” All it takes is one, right?
3. Senioritis is very real, and every symptom of it is present 😅

When your relentless procrastination happens to ruin you, it’s okay because you are prioritizing your mental health this last semester!
4. Hoping one of these visions manifests a job offer!

Just vision boards, nothing has actually become an IRL experience (aka I’m low-key freaking out).
5. Scrolled through LinkedIn for a minute and decided to go on a mental health break:

Comparison is the thief of joy, so we’ll stay off LinkedIn for now.
6. “Tell me why we should employ you”

I promise I have more hobbies than lounging. For example, I’m an excellent yapper!
7. Does free time even exist during senior year?

It’s the end of the year: assignments are piling up, stress levels are about to apex, and screen time is also increasing.
8. “Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions,” but sometimes I definitely want you to hesitate.

Catching up with emails might be a soft skill that doesn’t get enough credit. Can I add that to my résumé?
9. Parents: “How’s the job search going?”

Uhhhh… I’m gonna have to get back to you on that one. But you know what I can tell you? I’m enjoying my last semester with my friends!
10. Even though everything feels uncertain, at least spring is finally here!

It’s going to be okay, seniors. We will all make it to the graduation podium and get that diploma. Let’s enjoy our last few weeks of being college students! And, of course, enjoy springtime in Boston. 🌷
