There are 3 comments on Has the US Hit the “Soft Landing” of Controlling Inflation without a Recession?

  1. Foremost. Inflation was 3% in the 12 months ending in June. https://www.usinflationcalculator.com/inflation/current-inflation-rates/ Don’t lead with falsehoods.

While we are on the topic of BU:
    Cumulative inflation since January 2020 = 21.787%
    BU’s merit increase “pots”, cumulative since Jan. 2020 = 13.36% [0%, 2 & 2.75%, 4%, 4% staff merit increases each year, 2021–2024]

Is the overall US Economy recovering? Maybe. Are the University’s employees? Not without a second job…

  2. The marine industry has been in a recession since October of 2023. All retail dealerships have been hemorrhaging cash monthly selling product at or below invoice. They’re not telling us the truth.
