Why should I go?
In search of a late-night treat? Wander down Lansdowne Street and you’ll probably smell the sweet cinnamon wafting out from Back Door Donuts, which attracts lines of customers late into the night and early morning. The business started decades ago in Martha’s Vineyard and, in March 2023, they opened a pop-up on Lansdowne Street, providing concertgoers and baseball fans with a sweet treat to end the evening.
Running out of the side of popular Fenway bar Loretta’s Last Call, the new location honors Back Door Donuts’ tradition of serving donuts from behind another restaurant. Look for the “Donuts After Dark” neon sign, and fill a box with flavors including apple fritter, chocolate frosted, buttermilk glazed, coconut, and more. Online preordering is also available.
