It’s almost the last week of classes! Shop sustainably this weekend at the Boston University Medical Campus (BUMC) clothing swap or attend a performance of Dontrell, Who Kissed the Sea. And don’t miss the 20th Independent Film Festival Boston, free admission to the Harvard Museums of Science & Culture, and Independent Bookstore Day.
BUMC Clothing Swap
Exchange your old clothes for some new ones and reduce waste at the BUMC clothing swap, hosted by the BUMC Climate Action group. Lunch will be provided to all participants by BU Sustainability.

M Dougherty – Olfactory Artist in Residence
Olfactory art uses scents to create immersive, sensory experiences. Join M Dougherty, a multidisciplinary artist and researcher, for two events: Scentience: A Collection of Olfactory Expressions – Installation & Talk on April 27 and the Out in STE(A)M Luncheon on April 28. Independent Film Festival Boston
The Independent Film Festival Boston, now celebrating its 20th year, features dozens of documentaries and feature films. This year’s volunteer-run festival runs through May 3. Highlights include documentaries on NBA star Stephen Curry and actor Michael J. Fox and a new feature film from Paul Schrader starring Sigourney Weaver.

ArtsThursdays at Harvard Museums of Science & Culture
Enjoy free admission to the Harvard Museum of Natural History and the Peabody Museum of Archaeology & Ethnology during ArtsThursdays, part of the Harvard Museums of Science & Culture’s 10th anniversary celebration. The night will include membership raffles, a 10 percent discount at the museum shop, and a cash bar.

Dontrell, Who Kissed the Sea
Written by Nathan Alan Davis, head of BU’s MFA playwriting program and directed by Malika Oyetimein, a CFA School of Theatre lecturer, Dontrell, Who Kissed the Sea blends poetry, humor, wordplay, and ritual in this School of Theatre production. Eighteen-year-old Dontrell Jones the Third decides to venture into the Atlantic Ocean in search of a long-lost relative, much to the dismay of his family.

Celebrate Independent Bookstore Day
Head to local bookstores Trident Booksellers & Cafe and Brookline Booksmith to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Independent Bookstore Day. This one-day event will feature giveaways, exclusive merchandise, book recommendations, crafts, and more.

The Bach Experience
Each year, Marsh Chapel presents “The Bach Experience,” a series of four lectures that explore Bach’s musical world and theological connections, followed by a performance of a cantata by Johannes Sebastian Bach. This Sunday marks the final event of the year. Scott Allen Jarrett (CFA’99,’08), music director of Marsh Chapel, will deliver the lecture, followed by a performance of Bach’s cantata Christen, ätzet diesen Tag, BWV 63, a Christmas cantata, which will feature a performance by the Marsh Chapel choir and Collegium.
