    John O’Rourke began his career as a reporter at The MacNeil/Lehrer NewsHour. He has worked as a producer at World Monitor, a coproduction of the Christian Science Monitor and the Discovery Channel, and NBC News, where he was a producer for several shows, including Now with Tom Brokaw and Katie CouricNBC Nightly News, and The Today Show. John has won many awards, including four Emmys, a George Foster Peabody Award, and five Edward R. Murrow Awards. Profile

  1. Some things are too obvious and you wonder why you missed it. You said Butler became a caricature in the latter Elvis scenes… that is because Elvis had become caricature of himself. Also as good as Colin is I have seen him better and frankly the audience has stopped watching the awards because of the games. It is not a life achievement or career retrospective award but the academy doesn’t seem to know that. It is also not a legacy award ( give it before they die) or a comeback award … if it wasn’t his comeback performance Brenda would be an also ran fir a perfectly awful movie.
